My dream since I was a little girl has been to travel to all the national parks to photograph and enjoy these wonderful creations. Over the years I have been blessed to see many of these great parks with family and friends creating beautiful memories along with memorable photographs.
Even though the parks are where I long to be, I have recently concluded that there is a rich, vibrant and beautiful landscape to explore right in my own backyard! Nashville is growing bigger every day and with the growth comes new faces, restaurants, buildings and other wonderful things to experience.
Recently a friend from out-of-town came to Nashville and for the first time ever we toured the Country Music Hall of Fame! How sad is that? We go to hockey games downtown all winter and the Hall of Fame is literally across the street from the arena. We have never been inside one of the biggest tourist sights in the city? Why? And we often walk by the Ryman Auditorium going to the same hockey games and have never been to this most famous of all venues in our city. I take that back – we did attend a concert there years ago but never to tour the building and learn the history.
So, with this in mind, I have decided that I would be touring these great landmarks of our city. Experiencing the food. Learning the history. Taking photos of the things that make this city unique, special and a great place to live. I will report what I learn, see, taste and experience. Through words and photos.
Looking forward to this journey with you and hope you also discover some new things about Nashville through my discoveries.
